What this site is

Is Tibo Going to Reset? (istibogoingtoreset.com) is a small, fan-made forecast tool that tracks public posts on X by Thibault Sottiaux (“Tibo”), the engineering lead for Codex at OpenAI. Tibo has a habit of hinting at and announcing Codex usage-limit resets on his personal account, and this site tries to predict those resets so users can plan their work.

Who runs it

The site is operated by an individual developer who is not affiliated with OpenAI, Thibault Sottiaux, or any codex/chatgpt team. The “Tibo” name and avatar are used nominatively and refer to the public person behind the announcements.

How the forecast works

Every hour, an automated collector pulls Tibo’s recent posts and asks a language model to score them against a fixed list of reset signals (first person reset commitments, replies to reset-related questions, named-day hints inside a reset context, and historical reset cadence). The output is a probability plus a level bucket:not_likely, maybe, likely, orconfirmed.

Each confirmed historical reset is also written to a small reset history list visible on the homepage. Nothing on this site is sourced from a private channel; every claim is linked back to a specific public X post.

Source data

The only data source is X’s public API (via community-archival mirrors). We do not scrape private DMs, group chats, or internal OpenAI communications. We do not store any X credentials.

Why ads exist

The site is funded by a single ad slot (provided by Adsterra) to cover the cost of the Cloudflare Pages hosting and D1 database. There is no paywall, no premium tier, and no sponsored content beyond the single labelled advertisement slot. See the Privacy Policy for what that ad slot does.
